Malin Mena is an artist and a trained glass-blower. She runs her studio in an old water tower just outside Karlskrona since 2006. Here she manufactures both utensils, sculptures and commissioned public art.

The people behind Jollygoodfellow Printing Studio is Lisa and Esa (L. E. Tanttu). They work in the borderland between art, craft and design. A graphic expression from the design to the final piece. All the posters are printed by hand. Since sustainability is important to Jollygoodfellow they use eco-friendly paper, organic cotton and reuse test prints through creative upcycling.

Pia Högman is a designer with a great interest in exploring and deveoping traditional materials and techniques. Applying old working methods within a modern context to conserve, modernize and learn from a historical way of creating.

Her work is often hands on and with a close relationship to the raw material within the design process, experimenting and researching new ways of using traditional techniques with sustainable, local or in other ways interesting resources.

Högman graduated from the masters program in furniture design at The Royal Dansih Academy of Fine Arts School of Architechture, Design and Conservation in Copenhagen in June 2018.

Studio Svensson & Lundmark was founded in 2016 by Fabian Svensson Lundmark. With a background in art, music, crafts and science, the studio moves freely between different types of processes, materials and expressions.

In smaller editions and through studio production, he creates artifacts, objects and projects for exhibitions or direct sale.

Thoughtful products and objects that, with the help of humor and seriousness, convey a curiosity to our existence and how we live our lives.

Fabian Svensson Lundmark is a trained industrial designer MFA with his base in southern Sweden.

VI PÅ ÖN is a studio based in Malmö, focusing on conceptual design. The members are Agnes Hammar – architect,  Emma Andersson – interior architect and Hilda Lorentzon – production designer.

Program activity Shapes with function

Axel and Victor both studied Silversmithing and Industrial Design but had their first workshop together already at the playground as toddlers in Luleå, where they became best friends. Today the playmates try to look for fun and absurd ways to hack traditional processes and materials with “konceptfabriken” Lab La Bla. The duo make between opposites – mining and agriculture, soft and hard, the wanted and the unwanted, remoteness and urbanity. Through objects, materials and installations their research-based work takes its shape from the fuzzy boundaries in between man, industry and geopolitics.

Moving Mountains

Lisa Darland aims to create functional and environmentally friendly design solutions to enhance the user’s experience and the legacy for the next generation. By challenging traditional textile technologies and materials and by using digital and analog technologies, she creates textiles and objects with the feeling of handmade through modern production methods.

The focus is on emphasizing people’s haptic experiences of everyday life through colour, pattern, shape and tactility. By developing functional and emotional design with a transparency in the process, we can improve people’s everyday lives without exploiting the planet.
