Glass + Lighting = Glass meets light
In 2019, Malin Mena manufactured a chandelier made of 350 hand blown glass bulbs in different shades. She turned to Örsjö Lighting for help with manufacturing a metal structure for the chandelier, which then led to a collaboration. She is today one of Örsjö Lighting’s designers and her chandelier “The Crown” was presented at the furniture fair in Stockholm 2020.
Malin Mena is an artist and a trained glass-blower. She runs her studio in an old water tower just outside Karlskrona since 2006. Here she manufactures both utensils, sculptures and commissioned public art.
The chandelier “The Crown” is now in Örsjö’s range.
A smaller floor and table lighting will be shown at Form/Design Center during Southern Sweden Design Days.
