Lisa Hilland, designer

Lisa Hilland creates contemporary design with a poetic twist, combining modern high-tech production techniques with artisan quality craftsmanship. After graduating from Central St Martin's College of Art, she worked ten years as a designer in London before setting up her own studio in Malmö, Sweden in 2005. Her current clients include renowned brand such Orrefors, Gemla, IKEA and Svensk Tenn. Lisa Hilland also founded her very own design range of furniture and accessories, Mylhta in 2018 with inspiration from nature and focus on sustainability. Lisa has received several awards among them Furniture of the Year 2019: Anno Cabinet by Sköna Hem, Furniture of the Year 2019: Mylhta Stool by Form Magazine and Lauritz Icon award 2017 for Gemla Bow Series.

As such, we are the oldest auction house in the world still operating today. In fact, we have sold items in styles now known as Baroque, Rococo and Gustavian while they were still contemporary. Today, Stockholms Auktionsverk is a leading Nordic marketplace for art, crafts and antiques from a variety of ages and epochs. We operate our business in Stockholm from two addresses: Stockholms Auktionsverk at Nybrogatan 32 in Östermalm, where we hold our large quality and special auctions, and at Magasin 5 in Frihamnen, where we hold online auctions.
